As a draftsperson, Ryan focussed on producing well-presented and detailed drawings to produce the best outcomes in any project. Client: Liebherr Group
Liebherr Warehouse, Redcliff (AUD 10 million)- Perth, WA

This Liebherr project, to design and construct a new 5,000m2 warehouse, production and distribution facility. The project featured 61m span portals at 9.0m centres, with a 19.1m ridge height to allow for high bay racking, allowance for a future gantry crane, specialised details for 1m wide kingspan external panels to the entire building and a specialized super flat jointless slab. Ryan was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect as well as fielding queries from the builders.

Bulk storage Warehouse, Pinkenba (AUD 5 million) Brisbane, QLD

This project, to design and construct a new 8000m2 bulk storage warehouse. Bulk material storage heights of up to 10 metres posed complex structural consideration due to high levels of vertical and lateral loading of the floors and walls. FDC worked in collaboration with Griffiths Engineers to provide a design and construct a solution that met and exceeded client expectations. The project was successfully handed over within the contract timeframe. Ryan was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect as well as fielding queries from both the project manager and site manager.

Premium floors Warehouse, Erskine Park (AUD 6.5 million)—Sydney, NSW

The Premium Floors project had a tight 20-week programme for the design and construction of an 8,000m² split tenancy warehouse and two offices 400m2 and 200m2 respectively.   Ryan was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect as well as fielding queries from both the project manager and site manager.

Fujitsu Data Hall extension, Greystanes (AUD 2.5 million)—Sydney, NSW
Lead Structural Draftsman

This structure was won in a D&C capacity by FDC Construction, who engaged Griffith’s Engineers for our economic and speedy designs. The project went through a number of design changes yet Griffiths Engineers easily adapted to the changes and thus the project is still well within the time frame.

Ryan was responsible for various preparing all the structural documents for construction as well as continuing to answer various queries and make needed client-driven changes to the drawings.

Client: Fordland
Warehouse Facility, Glendenning (AUD 3.2 million)—Sydney, NSW

This project was won in a D&C capacity by Prime Construction, who engaged Griffith’s Engineers for our economic and speedy designs. The design was for a full height precast, portal frame warehouse with 2 offices of 168m² each.

Ryan was responsible for various preparing all the structural documents for construction as well as continuing to answer various queries and make needed client-driven changes to the drawings.

Reece Plumbing, Caringbah– (AUD 2 million)—Sydney, NSW
Structural Draftsman

This project was won in a D&C capacity by Steve Watt Construction, who engaged Griffith’s Engineers. The design was for a full-height onsite tilt-up precast. Griffiths Engineers were engaged due to the original structural design being not very uneconomical and overly designed. Griffith’s Engineers were able to make a number of cost-effective changes to the foundations and steelwork, which in turn has sped up the project a significant amount.

Ryan was responsible for various preparing all the structural documents for construction as well as continuing to answer various queries and make needed client-driven changes to the drawings.

Liebherr Warehouse, Redcliff (AUD 10 million)- Perth, WA

This Liebherr project, to design and construct a new 5,000m2 warehouse, production and distribution facility for Liebherr mining group was signed up by SJ Higgins Constructions Pty Ltd. With a tight timeframe to design and build to deliver on time, DDA Architects engaged Griffiths Engineers to deliver an economical, practical, buildable portal frame building with newly renovated offices. The project featured 61m span portals at 9.0m centres, with a 19.1m ridge height, allowance for a future gantry crane, specialised details for 1m wide kingspan external panels to the entire building and a specialized super flat jointless slab. This project included a 3 story office within the main warehouse and well as a major extension to the existing offices.

Ryan was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect as well as fielding queries from the builders.

The project provided many engineering challenges due to ground conditions and loading requirements of the operation. Products storage heights of up to 10 metres posed complex structural consideration due to high levels of vertical and lateral loading of the floors and walls. FDC worked in collaboration with Griffiths Engineers to provide a design and construct a solution that met and exceeded client expectations. The project was successfully handed over within the contract timeframe.

The Premium Floors project had a very tight time frame of 20 weeks including the design and construction of an 8,000m² split tenancy warehouse and two offices 400m2 and 200m2 respectively. Taylors engaged Griffiths Engineers to deliver an economical, practical, buildable portal frame building, on a site were conditions where very difficult because of a steep embankment along the southern side of the warehouse facility, yet Griffiths was able to find a cost-effective and practical solution to overcome this issue.
