Griffiths Engineers Australia have delivered the flattest industrial floors in Australia on more than one project.

Our team designed and documented two high bay, very narrow aisle (VNA) warehouses for Liebherr, to accommodate racking heights over 13m and special wire-guided forks. The industrial floors were designed to TR34 and achieved super flat floors specification DM1, for both their warehouses at Mackay, Queensland and Redcliffe, Perth.

Our team provided full design, documentation and specification of all structural works on the projects, including expert concrete mix design advice required due to the inconsistencies of the Perth concrete quality and the difficulties it could create on-site to lay high flatness tolerance. The slabs were designed and documented to the long strip method, as it is renowned to achieve high flatness tolerances.

The Redcliffe, Western Australia warehouse is 5000m2 with 13 very narrow aisles that are around 45m long.

The Mackay, Queensland warehouse is 2108m2 with 6 very narrow aisles of about 40m in length.

These buildings currently accommodate the highest slab mounted wire-guided VNA racking systems in the country
