Alex started his drafting profession in 2008 as a junior and since then has acquired a large arsenal of talents throughout his journey into MEP, civil and Structural drafting trades. Alex is highly motivated into producing high quality BIM models within strict timeframes.

Alex has drafted and led teams on various residential, commercial, health, substations and industrial projects and specialises in his strong Revit capabilities. His highlight projects include Westmead Hospital Redevelopment, NSW / The Royal North Shore Hospital Redevelopment and Building the Education Revolution (BER) program.

Alex is well received for his ability to hit target deadlines on time with complexity and cost efficiency in mind.

Career Highlights

Westmead Hospital Redevelopment / $750M

he Westmead Hospital Redevelopment project comprised of a new Central Acute Services Building (CASB), an Innovation Centre, an expansive new Civic Plaza and an underground carpark.

Situated at the heart of the precinct between the existing adult and children’s hospitals, the 14-storey CASB will unite existing hospital functions, expand capacity and provide new emergency departments, operating theatres, patient rooms, as well as education, research and training space for the University of Sydney. As the hub of the hospital and new main entry point, the CASB was designed with both capability and comfort in mind.

Engaged to Multiplex and working for Health Infrastructure under an ECI procurement model, Alex Led the Structural documentations charge and civil coordination.

Building the Education Revolution (BER) NSW / $800M

The Commonwealth Government has committed funding over three years to provide new facilities and refurbishment in Australian schools to meet the needs of 21st century students and teachers through the Building the Education Revolution (BER) program. Alex was involved in the K-12 schools (primary school component) and special schools to building new iconic facilities such as libraries, multipurpose halls and classrooms or to upgrade existing facilities.

Royal North Shore Hospital Redevelopment, NSW / $1.127B

The project includes the already completed Kolling Building (research and education facility), Chatswood Community Health Centre, Royal North Shore Community Health Centre, a new acute services building, part refurbishment of the existing Douglas Building, a new car park with 350 extra parking spaces, new roads and landscaping, and a new Clinical Services Building (CSB).

Alex was part of a team of five Drafters and produced documentation entirely from the developed Revit model for this AUD 850 million redevelopment. The project consisted of three new hospital buildings. The largest is a 10-storey building with a plan size of approximately 140 m by 120 m. It includes structural features such as detention tanks, a radiotherapy bunker, post-tensioned floor plates, major structural steelwork, foundation and excavation works.
