Lance has over 18 years of industry experience. Lance specialises in documenting industrial buildings in 3D and has experience in BIM integration and clash detection. As a draftsperson Lance focussed on producing well-presented and detailed drawings to produce the best outcomes in any project. Lance also works closely with service consultants to ensure all designs are fully co-ordinated to allow for straight-forward construction on site.

Pymble Ladies College, Pymble (AUD 40 million) – Sydney, NSW
This project, to design and construct a new state of the art sporting facility. It included a 50m indoor Olympic swimming pool and pool hall with large aesthetic steel roof trusses, diving platforms, an indoor learn to swim pool, gym and an outdoor hockey playing fields and tennis courts suspended over a carpark. As the client is a well-respected private education facility, it was imperative that the final product was completed to a high-end quality.

Mazda, Kirrawee (AUD 11.6 million) – Sydney, NSW
One of several car dealership facilities designed by Griffiths Engineers for Automotive Holdings Group (AHG). This dealership was designed in line with Mazda corporate specifications comprising of a multi-level facility incorporating a showroom, office areas, full service centre facilities, a 8,200m2 basement car park. The showroom includes extensive custom-built joinery and a 6.5 metre high framed glass wall. Lance was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect as well as fielding queries from both the project manager and site manager.
Runway End Safety Area RESA--025, Sydney Airport—Bridge Engineer
Design Engineer for the three span precast prestressed concrete plank SWSOOS land and perimeter road bridges at Sydney Airport. Design Loads were based on the emergency landing of an A380-Freight aeroplane, with a nose gear load of 1,245kN ultimate.

Structural design of the Switchyard Industrial Estate by Mirvac 300 Manchester Rd Auburn NSW
Structural Draftsman
The project is located within Sydney’s premier industrial precinct. The site comprises of six prime grade unit style warehouse and distribution centres. Each building consists of warehouses and offices. The warehouses range in size from 8,000 m2 to 14,615 m2 with an approximate total area of 72,625 m2. The development has faced unprecedented challenges due to heavy rains and Covid 19. Lance was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect and service consultants as well as fielding queries from both the project manager and site manager.

Structural design of the Stromlo Leisure Centre 50m lap swimming pool, 20m program pool and splash park
Structural Draftsman
The Stromlo Leisure Centre was commissioned by ACT government to serve the rapidly growing community of Molonglo. The new facility include an eight lane 50m lap and competition pool, 20m learn to swim pool, a toddler’s pool and splash park. Geoff Ninnes Fong & Partners took the lead on developing the design for the unconventional shape of the toddler’s pool. Lance was responsible for the development of 3D structural models, delivery of construction drawings, and BIM co-ordination with the architect and service consultants. Lance also contributed to the design of the water filtration system for the various pools.

Hyundai Castle Hill, (AUD 6.5 million)—Sydney

This dealership was designed in line with Hyundai corporate specifications comprising a multi-level facility incorporating showroom, office areas, full service center facilities, wash bays and external display and parking areas. Lance was responsible for delivery of construction drawings, coordination with the Architect and service consultants as well as fielding queries from both the project manager and site manager.

Fantastic Furniture—Project Management and Design Draftsman
70,000sqm production and storage warehouse facility with 60 loading docks in a 45 degree configuration which provided challenges with the alignment of portal column and loading dock panels. The main portal frame span 150m with 4 internal columns and incorporate high level Syphonic drainage in the design. The awning which spans the length of the building is 30m wide consisting of feature trusses and blade walls.
