The building is a 19.5m tall high-bay industrial facility for Liebherr Australia in the cyclonic wind region of Mackay and is used for Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) high reach forklifts.
Griffiths Engineers provided for Leibherr an economical structural design for both structure and slabs which have achieved the flattest industrial floor in Australia, the floors having achieved super flat floor tolerance of DM1 in accordance with TR34.
The wire guided VNA racking system at time of construction, 2014, is the highest of its trype in the country; equalled by the Griffiths Engineers designed facility for Leibherr in Redcliffe, Western Australia.
