Our team was commisioned to provide engineering design for the construction of the NextDC – P1 Data Centre in Malga, Perth. Three storey 9,600m2 building designed for 14.4kPa loadings. This is Perth’s first UTI Tier III certified facility.
NextDC’s data centre at Malaga just 13km from Perth’s CBD. NextDC – P1 is a three storey structure of 9,600m2 in total.
The building boasts:
- Raised floors in data halls and service corridors to facilitate cable runs.
- 3,000m2 of technical space
- Two main data halls of 1,200m2 and 1,400m2.
- Office and common areas of 2,800m2.
The design of this innovative structure presented engineering challenges similar to those of a hospital.
